Islamic Party chief Abdul Mobin dies

Advocate Abdul Mobin, chairman of the BNP-led 20-party's component Islamic Party, died of brain hemorrhage at a city hospital on Wednesday afternoon. He was 63, reports UNB.
Islamic Party organising secretary Mahmudul Hasan told the news agency that Mobin breathed his last at the city's Labaid Hospital around 3:10 pm.
He is survived by wife, five sons, a daughter and a host of relatives, followers and well-wishers to mourn his death.
BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Wednesday expressed profound shock at the death of Islamic Party chairman Advocate Abdul Mobin.
In a condolence message, the BNP chief said, "The people of the country will never forget Abdul Mobin's lifelong struggle for establishing democracy and the rule of law in the country.
"The country has lost a seasoned and popularly politician at his death, she added.
