Ispahani beat Brothers by eight wickets

CHITTAGONG, Jan 15 (UNB): Ispahani Sports Club earned a comfortable eight wickets victory over Brothers Union Club in the CJKS Ispahani Premier Division Cricket League at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium here Thursday.
Brothers Union batted first after winning the toss and were all out for 196 runs in 48.2 overs with Mahmudul Hasan making 70 and skipper Nafees Iqbal 59 runs.
Pacer Tareq Aziz Khan claimed three wickets for 30 runs while Sudipta Dey took two for 28 runs.
In reply, Ispahani SC scored the match-winning 197 runs for the loss of two wickets in 39 overs with Irfan Sukker contributing an unbeaten 115 runs and Sadman Islam 68 runs.
Mahmudul Hasan captured one wicket for 41 runs.
In the day's other match, Kwality SC managed two-wicket win over FMC Sports Club at the MA Aziz Stadium here.
Winning the toss, FMC SC decided to bat first to score 158 for all in 46.5 overs with Nazimuddin making 46, Aftab Ahmed 27 and Junaid Siddique 25 runs.
