‘Ispahani Mirzapore Banglabid’ grand finale goes vibrant

The grand finale of season two of the popular television reality show 'Ispahani Mirzapore Banglabid' was held amid vivacious presence of all participants at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the city on Friday night.
Ispahani Mirzapore, the leading tea brand in the country, sponsored the event
with an aim to find out those most talented in Bangla spelling and grammar and inspire the new generation to use Bangla language properly in their everyday activities.
Private television channel Channel i telecast the gala event live.
Deboshmita Saha, who became champion in the contest, received scholarship worth Tk1.0 million while first runner-up Kareen Ashraf Een and second runner-up Sadia Afroz Antu got scholarships of Tk0.3 million and Tk0.2 million respectively.
At least 53,000 participants took part in the show in March this year.
Of them, top six competitors qualified for the grand finale.
Besides, each of the top 10 contestants received a laptop, books worth Tk50,000 and a bookshelf.
Zahida Ispahani, director of MM Ispahani Limited, and Mirza Ahmed Ispahani were present as the special guests at the programme chaired by Faridur Reza Sagor, managing director of Channel I.
Omar Hannan, general manager (Marketing) of Ispahani Tea Limited, also attended the function.
Speaking on the occasion, Faridur Reza Sagor said participation of the competitors in a large number at the show has proved people's ardent love for Bangla language.
Apart from this, the audience got astonished to see the contestants' high aptitudes for the Bangla language, he added.
Omar Hannan hoped the people' love for the Bangla language would spread immensely across the country.
The judges' panel included Professor Dr Soumitra Shekhar, writer and poet Anisul Hoque and media personality Tropa Majumder.
