‘Ispahani Mirzapore Banglabid’ kicks off

The sixth season of the nation's premier TV reality show, the 'Ispahani Mirzapore Banglabid', kicked off with the aim of inspiring the young generation to embrace bangla language and culture, says a press release.
Branded with the motto "BanglaiJagiBhorpur," this initiative by the renowned tea brand 'Ispahani Mirzapore' has been promoting bangla traditions since 2017 with the hope of spreading pure bangla practices to the new generation.
This year Ispahani Mirzapore Banglabid is going to be organised on a bigger scale. This event will across the country's borders and reach West Bengal in India. This prestigious competition, open for students from 6th to 10th grade, will show talent from across eight divisional cities, Cumilla city, and Kolkata city in West Bengal.
The students selected through rigorous preliminary tests, will compete for top honours in the studio rounds, demonstrating their mastery of bangla language and culture. The ultimate champions will emerge victorious after a thrilling 20-episode showdown, to be televised on Channel I. Throughout this competition, a panel of esteemed judges, comprising experts in bangla language and culture, will play an integral role in the selection process.
Leading the panel is Dr Soumitra Shekhar, Vice-chancellor of Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University, joined by renowned fiction writer Anisul Haque and media personality Tropa Majumdar. Together, they will scrutinize and honour the best talents.
The registration for the sixth year of the competition commenced on May 16, 2024, and will run through June 30, 2024.
In the grand finale of the sixth edition of 'Ispahani Mirzapore Banglabid', the highest-scoring contestant will be awarded a prestigious merit scholarship of Tk 1.0 million (10 lakh). The second and third place winners will also receive commendable merit scholarships of Tk 0.3 million and Tk 0.2 million, respectively. Additionally, the top ten contestants will get one laptop and a bookcase worth Tk 50,000 to make a personal library.
In this connection, a press conference was held in the city on Thursday in presence of Ms Zahida Ispahani and Emaad Ispahani, Directors of the Ispahani Group.
