Israeli atrocity in Gaza

Tuesday, 26 August 2014

Israel has been launching its attack on Gaza since the holy month of Ramadan. Many Palestinians, including children and unarmed civilians, have died and injured, their homes destroyed, in the continued Israeli assaults. The big powers, including the USA and the UK, have apparently failed to prevent Israel from conducting their acts of mindless aggression. The UN intervened, but Israel did not bother to pay heed to its appeal.
The USA has played effective role as a deterrent in Syria and Iraq with a view to checking advances being made by militants. But Israel again and again slips out of its surveillance network. It remains a quandary. The world looks forward to immediate effective measures on the part of the big powers that can discourage Israel from carrying out atrocities in Gaza. Surprisingly, many highly influential Arab Muslim countries are silent over the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Palestinians. They seem to be not supporting the people of Gaza. They can stand by the hapless Palestinians through offering humanitarian help. As a lot of hospitals have been destroyed in Israeli air raids and shelling, medical treatment for the injured has become a challenging task in Gaza.
The rich Middle Eastern countries should come up in order to alleviate the Palestinian sufferings in the medical sector. Bangladesh should also offer its support, both moral and logistic, to the Palestinian people in their present crisis.
