Israeli offensive: PM slams UN, laments OIC, Arab League silence

Criticising the United Nations (UN) for its failure to take effective steps against Israel aggression in Gaza, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday also slammed the OIC and Arab League for failing to effectively protest the offensive. She came up with the criticisms when a four-member visiting women delegation of Iranian parliament, led by Fatemeh Rahbar, met her at the PM's official residence Ganabhaban in the evening. PM's press secretary AKM Shameem Chowdhury briefed reporters after the meeting, according to a news agency.
