IT at primary schools for Digital Bangladesh

SHERPUR, Nov 21 (BSS): Speakers at a meeting laid emphasis on introducing Information Technology (IT) at the primary schools for expediting the government's endeavour to build Digital Bangladesh.
The discussion titled 'Role of Primary School Teachers in Building Digital Bangladesh' was held at the district Shilpakala Academy here Sunday.
President of Government Primary School Teachers' Association Abdul Awal Talukdar spoke as the chief guest while president of the Association's Sherpur district wing Habibur Rahman was in the chair.
Talukdar underlined the need for imparting IT training to the primary school teachers for building Digital Bangladesh as they are working at the grassroots level.
He also urged the government to increase salary scale of the teachers of the government primary schools.
