IT experts for improving standard of skill

Improving the standard of skill seen vital for creating skilled manpower for the country's information and communication technology (ICT) sector.
IT experts at a seminar in the city on Thursday made the observation, reports UNB.
They said Bangladesh needs to set the standard of skill for building skilled youngsters at a time when the country has put in its efforts to take forward the ICT sector in line with its 'Digital Bangladesh' vision.
"Bangladesh is absolutely on the right track for the IT enabled services like software testing services, project management, call centres, back office services, and it should create skilled youngsters standard to create employment opportunity," Indian IT expert Bikram Dasgupta told the seminar titled, `Dialogue on IT and IT Enable Services (ITES) Skill Standard for Bangladesh'.
He emphasised the need for improving the standard of skill for Bangladesh as required for the IT industry to help develop skilful youngsters like that of India for creating employment opportunities for them.
