IU proctor removed

The Islamic University (IU) authorities removed proctor Mahabubur Rahman from his post on Tuesday amid movement by a section of students demanding his removal. The decision was taken at an academic council meeting of the university. Meanwhile, Lokman Hakim, a professor of the department of Islamic History and Culture, has been appointed as the new proctor of the university, according to a news agency.
