IUB celebrates 10th anniversary of Saima Hall

Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) celebrated the 10th anniversary of Saima Hall, a groundbreaking residential facility designed to support underprivileged female students from remote regions of the country, says a statement.
Established in 2015, Saima Hall provides free accommodation, meals, and access to quality higher education for female students in need, making it the first such facility at IUB to offer fully funded support to disadvantaged women.
A special event marking the milestone was held on Saturday at IUB's Bashundhara campus. Current residents of Saima Hall, who are enrolled in various IUB departments, showcased their talents through musical and dance performances during the celebration.
The anniversary celebration was attended by several key figures, including trustees A. Matin Chowdhury, Salma Karim, Towhid Samad, Wazed Ali Khan Panni, Rashed Chowdhury, Mohammad Tanvir Madar, and Dr. Husne Ara Ali; Chairman of the Board of Trustees Didar A. Husain, Vice Chancellor Prof. M. Tamim and Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Daniel W. Lund.
