IUB launches BBA in supply chain management prog

The School of Business and Entrepreneurship (SBE) at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) has introduced a BBA in Supply Chain Management programme under its Department of General Management, according to a statement.
The programme is designed to provide students with structured exposure to global supply chain strategies, including sourcing and procurement, logistics, inventory management, risk analysis, technology, sustainability and supplier relations-enabling them to identify inefficiencies and enhance organisational performance.
Prof Dr Md Mamun Habib, Head of the Department of General Management and a globally recognised expert in Supply Chain Management, said the new major reflects the growing global demand for supply chain professionals.
The four-year programme requires a minimum of 130 credits for graduation. Students will complete courses across foundation, core, major, minor and internship components. Key subjects include Demand Planning and Inventory Management, Managing Global Supply Chains, Sourcing and Procurement, Total Quality Management, and Strategic Supply Chain Management.
A range of elective courses-such as Enterprise Resource Planning, Project Management and Lean Six Sigma-will also be offered.
