IUB's Shah Amran named BAC member

Dr. Md. Shah Amran, Professor of Pharmacy at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), has been appointed a full-time member of the Bangladesh Accreditation Council (BAC). The Secondary and Higher Education Division of the Ministry of Education issued the appointment on Sunday under the Bangladesh Accreditation Council Act, 2017. The appointment is for a term of four years, says a statement. Prof. Amran is one of three members named in the order. He also served as Professor and Chairman of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of Dhaka before retirement. He obtained his Bachelor and Master of Pharmacy degrees, both with first class, from the University of Dhaka, and a PhD from the University of Yamanashi, Japan.
He began his teaching career in 1996 as a Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacy at the University of Rajshahi.
