Jaaz Multimedia employee rescued

Detective police have rescued an employee of Jaaz Multimedia, owned by film producer Shish Monwar, from Munshiganj one month after he was abducted from Dhaka. Abu Bakar Siddique Sabuj was rescued from a house of Kosba village in Tongibarhi early on Wednesday, said Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) DB senior assistant commissioner Touhidul Islam. Four persons were detained for alleged involvement with the abduction. One of them, Rafiqul Islam Nayan, was a former employee of the firm. ’Nayan abducted Sabuj following a personal feud and to extort money from his family,’ the police official said. Sabuj went missing on his way to office at Moghbazar from Mirpur on Apr 26. His wife filed a general diary with Ramna Police Station. Police arrested Monwar, chief executive officer of the firm, on charges of his suspected involvement in the abduction, according to bdnews24.com.
