Jahangir new DMD of Janata Bank

The government has appointed Md Jahangir Miah as deputy managing director (DMD) of Janata Bank Ltd.
He was working as general manager of Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB) before joining this position.
He obtained M Com degree with honours and master's degree in Finance and Investment from a university at in the UK.
Jahangir started his banking career with Bangladesh Shilpa Rin Sangstha (BSRS) as investment officer in 1978.
He participated in a number of training courses and seminars in home and abroad.
He acted as member of board of directors on behalf of ICB in many reputed organisations including Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited, and Unique Hotel and Resorts Ltd, The Westin Dhaka.
He hails from Shibchar of Madaripur district.
