Jalalabad Gas earns Tk 2.5654b revenue in FY 2006-07

Jalalabad Gas Transmission and Distribution System Ltd, Sylhet earned Tk 2.5654 billion (Tk 256.54 crore) revenue in the financial year 2006-2007.
This was disclosed at the company's 21st annual general meeting (AGM) held at a city hotel Sunday.
Chairman of the company's board of directors Md Alauddin presided over the AGM, said a press release.
The audited accounts of the company were also approved in the meeting.
The shareholders and directors of the company present in the meeting were informed that the total revenue of Tk 2.5654 billion included sales revenue of Tk 2.3571 billion and other income of Tk 208.3 million.
The company earned a pre-tax profit of Tk 297.2 million, which was 82 per cent higher than that of the previous year.
During the fiscal 2006-07, the company contributed Tk 241.3 million to the public exchequer in the form of DSL, dividend, income tax and import duty.
