Jalalabad Gas, LafargeHolcim extend gas sale agreement

Jalalabad Gas Transmission and Distribution System (JGTDS) and LafargeHolcim Bangladesh (LHB) have agreed, in principle, to extend gas sale agreement (GSA), effective from January 17, 2026.
The decision was made at a meeting held at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in Dhaka on Wednesday, said a press release.
Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Adviser Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan chaired the meeting.
The extension of the GSA signified a continued partnership aimed at supporting sustainable industrial growth and enhancing investor confidence in Bangladesh's economic landscape.
Besides, it also reflected the mutual commitment of both the government of Bangladesh and LafargeHolcim Bangladesh to continue their collaboration.
