Jamaat calls hartal in Ctg for tomorrow

CHITTAGONG, May 12 (UNB): Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami called a daylong hartal Monday in greater Chittagong  tomorrow
(Wednesday) protesting  arrest of its 21 leaders and activists.
City Jamaat nayeb-e-ameer Prof Ahsan Ullah said that they would enforce the shutdown in Chittagong, Bandarban, Rangamati, Khagrachhari and Cox's Bazar districts on Wednesday protesting arrest of the party men.
Earlier,  police arrested the 21 Jamaat leaders and activists, including its city unit ameer and former MP ANM Shamsul Islam, from the city's Dewanbazar area.
