Jamaat condemns announcement of local-body election schedule

Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid condemned Friday the announcement of election schedule for four city corporations and nine municipalities, reports UNB.
"The demand for holding the national election first has become a national demand. The government and the Election Commission have shown its rashness by announcing the schedule for the local-body election," he said in a statement.
