Jamaat funding: Govt takes it seriously

The government is looking into the matter of reported funding to Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami ‘seriously’ to unearth the fact, said State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam in Dhaka on Saturday. “We’ve seen the Indian media report. We’re taking it very seriously and investigation in this regard has been launched,” he told reporters at the city’s Hotel Sonargaon after attending a function, according to a news agency.
