Jamaat leader charged with attempted rape

JESSORE, Sept 8 (bdnews24.com): A village policewoman has filed an attempted rape case against a leader of Jamaat-e-Islami in the district, the police said Saturday.
Jhikargachha sub-inspector (SI) Shawkat Hossain said the case was filed with his police station Saturday.
According to the case records, Rabeya Begum, a village policewoman of Bakra Union Parishad, submitted a written complaint against Union Parishad chairman and local Jamaat leader Motiar Rahman.
According to the SI, the complaint said Rahman had been making 'indecent propositions' to Rabeya for some time.
