Jamaat leader dies 10 days after clash with BNP

A local leader of Jamaat-e-Islami, who was critically injured in a clash with BNP activists in Chuadanga's Jibannagar Upazila, has died at a private hospital in capital, reports bdnews24.com.
Mofizur Rahman passed away on Tuesday after battling for his life for ten days, confirmed Jibannagar Police chief.
Mofizur was the chief of the Baka Union unit of Jamaat.
His elder brother, Hafizur Rahman, 50, had previously died from injuries sustained in the same incident.
According to the police officer, a violent confrontation broke out between BNP and Jamaat supporters on the night of Feb 28.
