Jamaat leader rearrested at jail gate

A local leader of Jamaat-e-Islami was rearrested at Jessore Central Jail gate on Wednesday afternoon after his release on bail in various cases, including attack on police. The arrested is Maulana Idris Ali, assistant general secretary of Jessore unit of Jamaat-e-Islami and a resident of Narendrapur village in Jessore Sadar Upazila. Jahirul Haque, sub-inspector of Jessore Kotwali Police Station, said assistant sub-inspector Shahidul Islam arrested Idris as he came out of the jail gate in the afternoon on bail in the cases filed against him in connection with attacking police and violence, according to UNB.
