Monday, 11 October 2010
Jama'at leaders Md Qamaruzzaman and Abdul Kader Mollah were sent to jail when the police produced them before the court Sunday at the end of a three-day remand in the case of vandalising vehicles at Paltan on June 27 when BNP was observing countrywide strike, reports UNB.
Submitting their bail petitions Advocate Abdur Razzak Khan argued that the Jama'at leaders were unduly given to police remand for a total of 11 days in three cases on the June 27 incidents. They were physically tortured in police custody.
