Jamaat man stabbed dead

An activist of Jamaat-e-Islami was stabbed to death by some unidentified miscreants at Palashbari upazila in Gaibandha district on Thursday. The dead is Rustom Ali, a resident of Thutiapukur village. Police said Rustom was wanted in several cases filed with the local police station. He had been absconding since long. Abu Taleb, vice-president of Palashbari upazila unit Jamaat, said a gang of unidentified miscreants attacked Rustom and stabbed him indiscriminately in the morning while he was returning home from the hideout after a long time, leaving him dead on the spot. Informed, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital for autopsy, according to UNB.
