Jamaat-Shibir men among 83 held in Ctg

Police in separate drives, arrested 83 people including three activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir from different parts of Chittagong district from Monday night to early Tuesday. The law enforcers also seized 116 litres of liquor and one kilogram cannabis during the overnight drives. Among the arrestees, 7 people are accused in regular cases while 73 are wanted in different other cases. Chittagong police additional superintendent (Special Branch) Mohammad Naimul Hasan confirmed the arrests.
