Jamaat to support just causes, oppose injustice: Ameer

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman on Friday said his party would support the government on all just causes in consideration of public interest.
He also said on the other hand, injustice and any actions that undermine people's rights would be opposed by them vehemently.
"We will support the government on all just causes, but will stand as a barrier in case of injustice and any actions that deprive people of their rights, wherever they occur," Dr Shafiqur Rahman said while addressing the District and Metropolitan Ameer Conference of the party at Al-Falah Auditorium in the capital's Mogbazar area.
He said that Jamaat's stance was "clear" on issues of public interest.
He urged the government to accept the verdict of the national referendum, saying his party would extend all-out cooperation in its implementation.
