Jamaat trial: PM defends Law Minister’s remark

Defending her Law Minister for his comment on the trial of Jamaat-e-Islami as an organisation for its anti-Liberation War role, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday said the Law Minister described the fact taking the law and the reality into the consideration. “The Law Minister (Anisul Huq) described the fact considering the reality based on the law,” she said replying to a question at a press conference. The press conference was organised at the Prime Minister’s official residence Ganobhaban to inform the media about the outcome of her recent Japan visit, according to a news agency.
