Wednesday, 2 August 2023

Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh sent a letter to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner seeking permission to hold a rally at Suhrawardy Udyan on August 4 (Friday), reports UNB.
A group of Jamaat-e-Islami leaders led by Advocate Abdur Razzak, party counsel, submitted the letter to the DMP on Tuesday.
"We failed to hold our scheduled rally on August 1 as we did not get any permission from the authorities concerned. So we have decided to hold a rally on Friday at 2:30 pm at Suhrawardy Udyan. We hope we'll get 100% assistance from police ," said Advocate Razzak while talking to reporters after submitting the letter.
