'Jamaat wants trial for killing with logi-baitha'

CHATTOGRAM, Oct 29 (BSS): Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Assistant Secretary General and Central Executive Council Member Muhammad Shahjahan Chowdhury said his party wants trial for brutal killing with logi-baitha orchestrated by Awami League and Chhatra League.
"Jamaat demands arrest and trial of the killers of Awami League and Chhatra League involved in the brutal murder with Logi-Baitha on Oct 28, 2006", he said.
He was speaking as the chief guest at a rally organised by City Jamaat Islami at Chattogram Engineers Institute on Monday.
Shahjahan Chowdhury dubbed Sheikh Hasina as the champion of murder, corruption, looting, and killing of the opposition, saying Sheikh Hasina should be exposed to the justice and the gallows is the only suitable place for her.
He also said everyone should be ready to stop all conspiracies against country as there is no place of fascism on the soil of this country anymore.
"August 5 can't be allowed to be failed in any way. Fascism cannot be let to be arisen on the soil of Chattogram," he added.
City Jamaat Ameer Shahjahan Chowdhury presided over the function .while it's Nayeb-A-Ameer Dr. AJM Obaidullah, and Secretary Mohammad Nurul Amin, among others, addressed the function.
