Jama'at's fresh programmes begin today

Bangladesh Jama'at-e-Islami will organise rallies across the country today (Saturday) as per a series of fresh programmes demanding immediate and unconditional release of all leaders and activists of the party.
ATM Azharul Islam, acting secretary general of the party, announced the programmes at a press conference at its central office in the city Friday noon, reports UNB.
Mr Islam said, "The party will also arrange rallies and meetings at city, district, upazila and union level from November 1 to 3 to press for immediate release of its leaders and activists."
About Thursday's arrested of 20 Jama'at men, he said that they were holding a doa mahfil at their Mirpur party office.
