Jamuna Group participates in Global Sourcing Expo in Sydney

Several companies under Bangladesh's Jamuna Group participated in the "Global Sourcing Expo-2024" held in Sydney, Australia, reports UNB.
More than 100 top garment companies from over 20 countries and regions around the world took part in this expo, according to a press release.
The three-day "Global Sourcing Expo" began on June 12 at the International Convention Centre in Sydney and concluded on June 14. This event served as a platform to unite industry leaders, suppliers, and buyers under one roof for discussions, exchange of experiences, and showcasing products to foster innovative ideas, it said.
At the expo, subsidiaries of Jamuna Group, including Hureen HTF Limited, garment unit Jamuna Denims, and Jamuna Denims Weaving Limited, displayed various products.
In this context, Sumaiya Rosalin Islam, Director of Jamuna Group and Managing Director of Hureen HTF Limited, said, "Previously, we have showcased our various products at expos in Paris, Amsterdam, and New York. This is our first time in Australia. It's a new experience. We gained insights into the Australian market and created opportunities.
Additionally, by showcasing high-quality products at this expo, we attracted international buyers and companies, aiming to represent Bangladesh."
She further mentioned, "Approximately 93 per cent of Bangladesh's exports to Australia are garment products. Currently, Bangladesh ranks as Australia's 32nd largest trading partner."
