Jamuna Oil posts over Tk 260m net profit last fiscal

CHITTAGONG, Jun 24: Jamuna Oil Company Limited (JOCL) earned a net profit of over Tk 260 million (26 crore) during the last fiscal year, sources said.
The JOCL has been gradually earning more profit setting a record level in the oil marketing companies.
According to the JOCL sources, workers and employees of the company will be paid at a rate of 5.0 per cent of the total dividend.
The company earned profit amounting to Tk 140 million in 2001-02 fiscal. But its profit earnings declined steadily.
The company earned profit worth around Tk 90 million and 70 million in 2002-03 and 2004-05 fiscals respectively, while it had to incur huge loss of around Tk 30 million in 2003-04 fiscal.
Sincerity and integrity of the officials and employees have led the company to achieve the target, the sources added.
