Janata Bank allocates addl Tk 1.25b for Sidr-hit people

Janata Bank Ltd has allocated an additional amount of Tk 1.25 billion (125 crore) in agri/rural loans for the Sidr-hit farmers in the affected coastal districts.
Earlier, the bank allocated Tk 1.30 billion in loans for the affected farmers in this connection.
Two general managers of the bank are personally monitoring the disbursement activities.
The managing director of the bank also visited the cyclone-affected areas recently. He participated in the bank's credit disbursement programme.
The board of directors of the bank gave a directive for strict monitoring of the activities and participating in the disbursement programme that started Saturday.
