Janata Bank disburses Tk 0.24m in B'baria

BRAHMANBARIA, Feb 7: Janata Bank Limited (JBL) disbursed Tk 0.24 million (Tk 2,46,300) among 13 poor farmer-families directly through JBL Akhaura Branch at Basudeb Union Parishad complex auditorium recently.
JBL Assistant General Manager (AGM) and Brahmanbaria Zonal Head Md Mobarok Hossain was present as the chief guest at the function.
JBL Akhaura Branch Manager Md Sahidul Alam presided over the function and delivered the welcome address.
Janata Bank has currently adopted some multipurpose work plans to make credit programme now being implemented at the grass-roots level more easy.
Mr Mobarok said that their main target is poverty alleviation so that poor farmers can change their life style. If they pay their present loans soon, they will get new loans. Branch mangers and field officers have to pursue the clients for deposits, recover outstanding loans and disburse new loans and fulfill their fixed targets.
