Janata Bank holds task-force meeting

A task-force meeting was held at Janata Bank head office in the city Sunday.
Janata Bank Managing Director (MD) Md Mukter Hussain presided over the meeting. The present level of loan recovery performance was vividly reviewed.
The bank MD instructed concerned officials to maintain the stream of loan recovery and also expressed his hope of providing logistic support. The bank has already achieved its recovery target of 2007.
According to the MoU submitted to the central bank, the recovery target was Tk 275 million (27.50 crore) in June this year but the bank recovered an amount of Tk 319.8 million.
The MD emphasised on removing barriers to loan recovery process to make it more effective.
He further advised disposal of the pending suits quickly and thereby to increase supervision at field level.
Deputy Managing Director of the bank Md Mizanur Rahman and general managers were present, among others, on the occasion.
