Janata Bank holds workshop on 'automated clearing house'

Janata Bank Limited arranged a three-day workshop on "Automated Clearing House" which was introduced by Bangladesh Bank.
SM Aminur Rahman, CEO and Managing Director of the bank, inaugurated the programme where 94 branch managers of Dhaka city took part in the workshop.
Ali Kamrul Al Zahid, assistant director (PSD) of Bangladesh Bank, made a demonstration to the participants.
The system will officially be started from November 8, 2009. In the system image of bank cheques will be sent through online, instead of physical presentation.
Through this modern payment system outward bill collection will be more safe, speedy and low costing, the release added.
