Janata Bank to disburse Tk 83.3m among B'baria farmers

BRAHMANBARIA, October 11: Janata Bank (JB) will disburse loans worth TK 83.3 million (TK 8.33 crore) among farmers in the district through its twenty branches during the current financial year (2007-2008), sources said.
The loans will be given for crops cultivation, pisciculture, livestock, poultry, purchasing agricultural equipment, SME loan, current loan, micro-credit and other programmes of the Bank.
Loans have also been given to small enterprises as well as for poultry and dairy farm machinery.
The Bank has already disbursed TK 7.0 million(TK 70 lakh) among flood-hit farmers through its twenty branches in Brahmanbaria district in the current fiscal year.
