JANIPOP team leaves for Pakistan to observe election

A six-member election monitoring team led by JANIPOP (National Election Observation Council) chairman Prof Dr Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah left for Pakistan Friday to observe the general election being held there on February 18, 2008, said a press release.
The other members of the team include Dhaka division coordinator AKM Salah Uddin, Gazipur district coordinator Mohammad Abdul Kadir and International Volunteers Prof GM Chowdhury, Irtiza Nasim Ali and Nasir Uddin.
JANIPOP had earlier observed the National Election of Pakistan in February 1997.
