Janmashtami celebration at Volanandagiri Asram Friday

The Janmashtami, one of the major religious festivals of the Hindu community, will be celebrated at 'Geeta Bhaban' of Sree Sree Swami Volanandagiri Asram Trust at 12 KM Das Lane in the city tomorrow (Friday) marking the birth of Lord Krishna, says a press release.
Sree Sree Geetashangha Bangladesh has organised the festival, which will include Krishna Puja, readings from the Veda and Vagabad Geeta, Kirtan, taking out a procession, distribution of Maha Prashad and cultural function.
President Sree Nityananda Chakravarty and secretary Nityananda Bardhan of the organisation have requested all to participate in the daylong programme and to make it a success.
