Japan beat China in World League volleyball

OSAKA, Japan, July 19 (AFP): Asian silver medallists Japan breezed past China in straight in the World League men's volleyball tournament Saturday.
The Japanese spikers, who qualified for the Beijing Olympics next month, rallied to a 26-24, 25-20, 25-13 victory to improve their win- loss record to 5-6, the same as China in the four-team round robin qualifying round. However, world silver medallists Poland have already qualified for the final round with an unbeatable 8-3 record with one more match each left in the round.
