Japan embassy arranges seminar on 'study in Japan'

The Japan Embassy and the Japanese Universities Alumni Association in Bangladesh (JUAAB) jointly organised "Study in Japan Seminar 2018" on Sunday.
The event was held in cooperation with the Department of Civil Engineering of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) on the latter's campus.
Information on higher education in Japan including the Japanese government scholarships, study and life in Japan and its advantages were discussed at the event.
More than 60 students in Masters programmes and young faculties members of BUET participated at the seminar.
Besides, faculties from BUET, who recently returned from Japan, spoke on their experience in Japan followed by a presentation on various scholarship schemes.
Head, Department of Civil Engineering, officials from the Embassy of Japan and members of JUAAB were present, among others, at the seminar.
In 2017, more than 160 Bangladeshi students received Japan government-funded scholarships and are now studying in Japan in various academic fields, according to a press release from the Embassy of Japan.
