Japan fears: Copper slides 1.3pc on LME

LONDON, Mar 15 (Commodity Online): As the equities dipped, copper for three months delivery on LME dropped 1.3 per cent to $9,071.50 a tonne and was found trading at $9,080 at 1:08pm Shanghai time. Shanghai June delivery copper futures dipped 1 per cent to touch 68,700 yuan ($10,456) a tonne. Japanese nuclear situation is driving people to the edge of the seats and forcing equity markets to go awry. Nikkie tumbled 13 per cent in the morning, reported Heraldsun.com. Aluminum in London dropped 0.9 per cent to $2,534.75 a tonne while zinc tumbled 1.2 per cent to touch $2,301 a tonnene.
