Japan to give $28,381 to BKSP

Japan will donate US$28,381 to Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishthan (BKSP) to improve their Judo facilities, which is a typical Japanese martial art and one of the Olympic sports. The amount was made available for this project under the scheme of Grant Assistance for Cultural Grassroots Project (GCGP).
The contract was signed at the Embassy of Japan in Dhaka on Sunday. Shiro Sadoshima, Ambassador of Japan to Bangladesh and Brigadier General Md. Emadul Haque, Director General of BKSP signed the contract on behalf of the respective sides.  
Japanese Ambassador expressed his satisfaction for being able to contribute to this project as the Japanese government is currently promoting "Sport For Tomorrow Programme" which aims to promote the Olympic movement and sound upbringing of children.  
The Ambassador also stressed the importance of cultural and sports exchange between the two nations in addition to strengthening traditionally important relations in trade and economic development sectors in order to bring bilateral relationship to the next level of comprehensive partnership.
The DG of BKSP expressed his gratitude for continuous support of the Japanese government.
