Japanese envoy meets Chief Adviser

Japanese Ambassador Iwama Kiminori has met interim government Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus and discussed issues of mutual interest, reports UNB.
The meeting was held at the state guesthouse Jamuna in the capital on Wednesday.
Adviser Ali Imam Majumder, Principal Coordinator for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Lamiya Morshed, and Chief Adviser's press secretary Shafiqul Alam were, among others, present.
Under the "Strategic Partnership" enshrined between the two countries, Japan said it will continue its support for Bangladesh's development and prosperity, standing side by side with the transition process to be led by Chief Advisor Dr Yunus.
