Japanese folk team to perform in city Dec 8, 9

A Japanese folk team, consisting of six musicians, will perform folk songs of Japan on December 8 and 9 at the National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
With the support from Japan Foundation, Embassy of Japan in Dhaka and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy will jointly organise this 2-day event, says a press release.
Information and Cultural Affairs minister Abul Kalam Azad is expected to attend the opening ceremony as the chief guest on December 8 at 5:30pm. Tamotsu Shinotsuka, ambassador of Japan to Dhaka, will be present as the guest of honour.
