Japanese investment sought in gas exploration

Bangladesh sought Japanese investment in gas exploration and technological support in boosting the efficiency of fertilizer factories Tuesday.
 “Japan can invest in gas exploration apart from providing technological support in boosting the efficiency of Bangladesh’s fertilizer factories,” said Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu at a meeting with Japanese Ambassador Shiro Sadoshima at his Shilpa Bhaban office.
 They discussed various issues related to bilateral cooperation, including boosting efficiency in fertilizer production, enhancing productivity in agricultural sector, cooperation in the education sector and gas exploration.
 The Industries Minister, at the meeting, said Japanese entrepreneurs could come forward to invest in Bangladesh’s agriculture sector, according to a news agency.
