Japanese IT co to train up, recruit BD people

Renowned Japanese IT (Information Technology) company FUJISOFT plans to train up people with IT skills in Bangladesh to recruit them in their offices as an alternative to India, officials said.
They said the company officials visited Bangladesh to check the status of IT resources here and determine the way to train these resources properly.
The company has been providing many of IT services including robot technology, cloud integration service, security solutions, broadcast solutions, hospital solutions and digital living solutions. The company's sales proceeds from software and other IT solutions stood at $13 billion last year.
Jintaro Nozawa, director and executive operating officer of FUJISOFT said "Cost of IT resources in India is very high nowadays. Bangladesh has huge potential to supply IT resources with much lower cost in comparison to India".
He said Bangladesh has a large number of youth workforce and they can be utilized as IT resources by providing them proper skill-development trainings.
He said Bangladeshi IT resources need to be properly trained up to do those IT jobs.
Bangladesh-Japan Information Technology (BJIT), a local IT farm, currently provides skilled Bangladeshi IT resources to FUJISOFT onsite offices.
He said with their good performance, FUJISOFT shows great interest to Bangladeshi IT resources and discusses the issue of resource building with BJIT in this visit.
According to Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) data Bangladesh's income from IT service exports was $ 114 million in last 2013-14 financial year while that of India was around $ 118 billion.
FUJISOFT Incorporated operates as an independent IT company worldwide. It was established in May, 1970. Its head office is in Yokohama, Japan. As of March 2014, the company has 10,328 employees.
