Japanese support for ‘learning and earning’ project expected

Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal on Saturday said the government is expecting Japanese investment for launching a ‘learning and earning’ project to build skilled manpower in the country’s information and communication technology (ICT) sector. “I believe Japan will invest for building skilled manpower in the field of ICT. The government is going to take up ‘learning and earning’ project in this regard,” he told a seminar at Barura upazila in Comilla. The seminar, titled ‘education, culture and civilisation of Japan’, was jointly organised by Shaherbanu Ideal School, Projuktipith and Munsi Jinnat Ali Welfare Trust, according to a news agency.
