Japanese varsity wants to make sweetener in BD

Japan's Okayama University of Science has shown its willingness to manufacture Stevia products in Bangladesh under the university-industry collaboration programme with the Dhaka University (DU) through the University Grants Commission (UGC), reports UNB.
A four-member delegation, led by Dr Hiroki Hamada, Prof of Department of Life Science of the Japanese University, conveyed the willingness at a meeting with UGC chairman Prof AK Azad Chowdhury at the latter's office in the city Tuesday.
