Jatiyatabadi panel wins Rajshahi Bar election

RAJSHAHI, Feb 20: Jatiyatabadi Lawyers Oikya Parishad-backed Abul Kashem and Jamsed Ali panel bagged 12 posts among 21 posts at the elections of Rajshahi Bar Association (RBA) held Thursday evening. On the other hand, Rafiqul Hasan- Lokeman Ali panel backed by Sammilito Ainjibi Samannay Parishad bagged nine posts including the posts of vice-president and the joint-secretary.
Abul Kasem was elected president securing 200 votes while his nearest contestant Rafiqul Hasan got 198 votes. Jamsed Ali was elected general secretary by bagging 233 while his nearest contestant Lokeman Ali received 157 votes.
